Locked Up, But Not Locked Out
Locked Up, But Not Locked Out
Introduction
Locked Up, Not Locked Out exists to remind every person behind bars that although they may be physically confined, they are never beyond the reach of God’s love. Prison walls cannot keep out the presence of Christ, and no sentence can erase the opportunity for redemption. This initiative speaks directly to the heart of those who feel forgotten, especially youth, assuring them that the kingdom of heaven remains open to all who believe.
The Challenge
Incarceration strips away more than freedom; it often robs individuals of hope, identity, and the belief that change is possible. Many youth in prison grow up without mentors, guidance, or spiritual grounding. The result is a cycle of despair that fuels repeat offenses and lost potential. Too often, the world treats the incarcerated as outcasts with no second chance, when in truth, Christ offers forgiveness, renewal, and a new identity to every soul.
Our Solution
Locked Up, Not Locked Out breaks through the hopelessness of incarceration with the message of the Gospel. We bring mentorship, prayer, Bible studies, and tangible support directly into correctional facilities, prioritizing youth but serving anyone who is willing to listen and receive. Our team offers not just words of encouragement, but practical discipleship and tools for a transformed life, reminding each individual that God’s plan for them is not finished.
Our Goal
Our goal is to reach thousands of incarcerated youth and adults every year through quarterly events inside of the jails, ensuring they hear this truth: being locked up does not mean being locked out of the kingdom of heaven. We aim to cultivate transformed lives that walk in freedom, dignity, and faith—so that when prison doors close, hearts still remain open to Christ.
